Fort Lauderdale Hospital continues to be one of the busiest psychiatric hospitals in the tri-county area (averaging approximately 350 inpatient admissions per month). Our patients range from those in acute psychiatric crisis coming to our facility involuntarily, to those individuals paying cash for detoxification coming in voluntarily often from out of the area via Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. While some are able to arrange transportation to our hospital on their own through family and friends, many are not. Accordingly, our transportation needs vary as widely as our patients. We have had the professional privilege of engaging the services of Tropical Transportation.
I and my staff have consistently been impressed with the exceptional work ethic demonstrated by Tropical Transportation. We are particularly pleased with their response times, which are nearly always as promised or earlier.
